John Russell is an actor, having most recently appeared in Miranda Theatre Company's They Promised Her the Moon at the Theatre at St. Clement's.

John appeared off-Broadway in Bedlam's Sense and Sensibility (New York Times Critic's Pick, extended five times) at the Gym at Judson. Other work with Bedlam includes The Seagull (in rotating repertory with Sense and Sensibility) at the Sheen Center and Saint Joan at 4th Wall Theatre Company in Houston.

Other New York credits include The Jazz Singer at Metropolitan Playhouse, Hunter Gatherers at DUO Theatre, The Arsonists at the DCTV Firehouse, and Lyle Kessler’s The God of All Things at Theater for the New City.

John has worked regionally at Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Cutting Ball Theater, the Eugene O’Neill Foundation, Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, the Theater at Monmouth and Lost Nation Theater. John studied acting at Reed College, the British American Drama Academy and Circle in the Square. Proud member of Actors' Equity Association.
